Master Dean Meier

Certified Master Instructor
Dean Meier, is a certified sixth-degree master instructor under Grandmaster Charles Ferraro in the Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan Association. He began his training under Charles Ferraro in 1981 as members of the Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan organization, headed by Grandmaster Hwang Kee. He managed a branch in Shelton, CT, for eight years. During that time he provided professional, caring instruction to citizens of Shelton and its surrounding towns while continuously expanding the enrollment before taking a break to raise his faimly, and to build his construction business. He has also been the sole proprietor of Seymour Martial Arts Academy LLC, while running the karate program for Seymour CT. Park and Recreation Department, since 2008.
Meier has competed at the state and national level and is experienced in ju-jitsu, aikido, and kali/escrima. He is also a 2nd degree Reiki practitioner in the Tera Mai system.
